This wonderful family was referred to me by a previous client, who will soon be a repeat client. I love word of mouth business and repeat clients! This trio was fun and easy to work with. And Little J, well he was a ball of energy and a joy. Cutest grin and busy! Here are some early edits, with more to come once the clients make their selections. Enjoy!
April is heavily booked and personal travel has made things just a bit busier. I’ve uploaded a number of proofsfrom recent sessions on Facebook, but I’m also posting many here in a quick slideshow until I get more time for final edits and proper posts. Hope you enjoy and please get in touch to schedule your own session!
I had lots of fun with these guys this morning! Their session was a great mix of formal and goofy, the latter of which pairs well with their fun-loving nature. I am so looking forward to photographing their wedding later this year. I hear that some other family members are similarly spirited and fun. Thank you, A and D, for allowing me the honor to be a participant in your journey!
I’ll continue to add images here in the coming days, but I couldn’t wait to post some of my wonderful session from yesterday. This lady is simply beautiful, inside and out. I am honored to call her my friend, although until yesterday, it had been nearly 23 years since I last saw her or heard her voice. I was thrilled to hear from her, requesting a session! We had a fantastic time catching up, playing with the dogs, exploring, taking photos, and making memories. Just a “picture-perfect” day with an old friend and new client. Hope you enjoy!
The weather was not our friend for this session, as it started raining just before we got started. We snapped just a few photos outside, as originally planned, then took cover in a nearby museum. The kids were full of energy and the whole family was great fun to photograph. We struggled to find adequate natural light inside, but we had a good time, and still captured some great moments. Let me know what you think in the Comments below!
2014.03.02 Family Session around the National Mall, Father-son
Happy New Year! I haven’t posted here in a while, so I thought I would offer a quick update about what’s going on with the business recently. One of my December family sessions got rained out, and my other session isn’t ready to post here. I have a family session scheduled for next weekend, and am in early talks with a couple about doing their upcoming wedding! In the meantime, I want to share some quick snapshots of friends, taken on December 29, 2013. They’re good sports and good people, so hopefully they won’t mind too much.
What a great way to welcome December! I really enjoyed working with these new clients, including Kiki, their wonderful family dog of nine years. The family came to me and I walked to the session! We enjoyed exploring various little pockets of the neighborhood, which generated a number of different looks for the session.
Enjoy the photos and remember, as always, click on the photo for a larger view.
This beautiful family was a joy to work with! Unfortunately, the older son wasn’t feeling well, and he took a little splash in the creek early on. Still, he was a very good sport and tried to hard to keep his tongue in his mouth and a smile on his face. He was even gorgeous through tears in his big, brown eyes when he had had enough. Little brother was a happy camper, especially every time he got one of his mom’s delicious pumpkin muffins. I can vouch for them. They’d put a smile on anybody’s face! I’m still going through the photos, but here are some of my favorites.
How precious is this little girl? She was less than 24 hours old when I got to photograph her and her lovely mom yesterday. Timing didn’t work out to include the rest of the family, but we plan on another shoot soon after they get home. We decided to keep the shoot simple and natural, especially with Mom still recovering from delivery.
